Skylines Gallery
City skylines are, simply, majestic. I'm enamored with the composition of a skyline shot. I love that, on a single print, I'm able to capture the congested humanity of the city structures below the horizon and the open vastness of the natural sky, sun and clouds above. It's a wonderful juxtaposition of man's making. And for me, I love the thrill of the whole process of capturing the scene in my camera; traveling to the location, planning for the weather and the direction of the sun, gauging the wind and temperature at the top of the building or elevated viewpoint, tripod placement and all of the creative camera settings. When it all comes together as planned, it's an amazing and rewarding experience...and I hope that translates into an amazing art print.
